Our Home is a cultural and well-being space. It is an environment where our members can participate in discussions and courses as well as workshops on changing habits, stress management, interpersonal skills, conflict management, productivity, good nourishment and self-knowledge. There are private and small group classes for the development of optimal breathing and relaxation in addition to training in physical techniques, focus and meditation.

TIMETABLE

The technical part of the DeROSE Method is taught in small group or individual classes. We have many complimentary activities as well, both inside and outside of the school. These include meals, courses and workshops, festivals and trips both locally and around the world. We organize all of these activities to experience the concepts of good nutrition, good culture, good human relations, etc.

Check our broad timeline, with classes and activities from 7am to 8pm. We are open on the weekends as well.

Fernanda Neis President of the DeROSE Method Federation in the U.S.


 

Fernanda Neis initially received a degree in Engineering. She has been teaching the DeROSE Method since 1995. Since then, she has represented the Method teaching classes and courses throughout Brazil, Argentina, Europe and the United States. Fernanda holds the degree of Professor in the DeRose Method and has taught dozens of students to become instructors around the world.

She is currently President of the DeROSE Method Federation in the U.S. and Vice President of the DeROSE Method Headquarters. Fernanda is a partner in 3 DeROSE schools.

Fernanda is a very close associate of Professor DeRose and frequently travels with him and other professors to international DeROSE Method events. At the end of 2013, she traveled with Professor DeRose and a group of professionals to India to revisit the places where Professor DeRose himself studied and learned over a period of 25 years early in his career.

Gustavo Oliveira initially received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has been a DeROSE Method professional since 2006.

For the past 12 years, he has been teaching executives from large corporations, high achieving entrepreneurs and top athletes how to overcome their limits and cultivate quality of life. He is the writer of the book The Entrepreneurial Mind which launched in New York. He has lectured and taught thousands of students in New York, Paris, London, Lisbon, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Sao Paulo.

Gustavo is also a Board Member of the Global DeROSE Network and is a prolific entrepreneur running 5 businesses, 3 of them training centers for high performance and quality of life. He holds the degree of Teacher in the DeROSE Method and remains a close associate with Professor DeRose. Gus travels internationally to study with Professor DeRose and participated in a 2013 trip with him to India.

What is the DeROSE Method?

a) The Method consists of cultural activities like theoretical classes, practical workshops, parties, dinners, video showings, events, festivals, weekend outings, trips, all aimed at transmitting our Culture through camaraderie and living by example.

b) On the other hand, we have regular classes for beginners and advanced students. These regular classes teach respiratory re-education, stress management, organic body techniques that improve muscle tone and flexibility, and procedures that enhance emotional relaxation and mental concentration.

 

Who is it for?

Our Method is designed for young adults; nevertheless, this doesn't mean that those who are older can't practice. It is sufficient to be in good shape and in good health.

 

Is it associated with any religion or spiritual belief?

No, there are no religious or spiritual affiliations.

 

Do people need to sign-up for a membership?

We have monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual membership plans as well as some “class-packs”.

 

How long has the DeROSE been around?

The DeRose Method began in a small room in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in 1960, though it only developed into its current format in 2006.. Now we have more than 120 school in 11 countries

 

Where did the DeROSE Method begin?

The designation DeRose Method began in France, and then expanded to England, Portugal, Italy, Spain and the United States. It is widespread in Brazil and Argentina, where there are many DeROSE Method schools. 

  

How often do activities occur?

• We have cultural activities that occur once a month;
• other activities, once a week;
• the regular classes, with a duration of 30 minutes to one hour, occur every weekday between 7AM and 9PM, and on weekend mornings;
• other activities, like special courses and events, take place periodically throughout the year.

We strive to offer a variety of activities for our students to choose from. 

  

How big are the classes?

Enrollment is open year round, but activities and classes are subject to limited availability. Since we specialize in offering personalized services we have limited vacancies. Some activities have waiting lists.

 

What are the classes and activities look like?

It could be social cultural activities or training techniques.

The cultural activities include video screenings, culinary encounters, lunches, dinners, tours, trips, workshops, lectures, courses, events, reading groups, attending to DeRose festivals, ceremonies, exhibitions, theatrical performances and many others.

On the other hand, in a regular practice we teach respiratory techniques, corporal techniques that develop strength, flexibility, corporal consciousness, as well as muscular relaxation and mental concentration techniques. In general, the regular class lasts about an hour.

 

Who comes to the school?

The practitioners are young adults, men and women (about 60% men), mostly between 18 and 48 years old. They are engineers, lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs, executives, artists, athletes, and students, among many other professions.

 

What type of meditation do you teach?

We teach a variety of techniques in the context of breathing, internal cleansing techniques, body techniques, conscious relaxation and focus. We help each individual to find the technique that works best for them.
